Wonderful Weekend!

Friday night Chris and Jonah took me out on a date!! Before we went out on our date we met up with the builder of our house and picked out everything for our house. After meeting with the builder, we drove to Perkins Rowe and went out to eat at the Grillroom. Jonah did so great!! There was a band playing in the resturant and Jonah just sat in his seat looking around. He didn't fuss the first time! After eating we walked around Perkins Rowe, Jonah loves to be strolled around! It was the best date I've ever been on, my first date with "My Boys"!!
Saturday we rode out to our house, and to different furniture stores (we're just looking). Again, Jonah did great! He is really just the best little boy!! I smile everytime I just think about him. After going to some furniture stores we came back home and watched the LSU Football game.
Sunday was Jonah's first time to go to church. He loved it!! He loved the music during Praise and Worship, he also loved all of the lights! We loved being able to bring him to church!!

Here are some pictures from our Friday night date and Sunday before church...

Lots of Exciting things!!

The most exciting news that I have is that Jack should be here in a little over a week!! Jonah and I are riding to Georgia with my mom next Wednesday to stay until Jack is born! I cannot wait to meet my new nephew! It is so exciting to think about all of the fun times Jonah and Jack are going to have growing up together! I am so happy and proud of my sister! She is already such a wonderful mom to Emmy Kate, Jack is so blessed to have Lendie for a mommy! I look up to Lendie so much and hope that I can be as wonderful as a mom to Jonah as she is to Emmy & Jack.

The 2nd most exciting news that I have is Jonah can put himself to sleep (sometimes). He'll lay in bed, look around, make a few noises, and then fall asleep. It is the sweetest thing in the world!

The 3rd most exciting news is that our house is coming along so well!! It is now framed!! The builder Mr. Easterly said that framing the house is the fastest part of building a house. Chris and I will meet with him and the realtors sometime before next Wednesday to pick out our colors, flooring, brick, vinyl siding, and shingles!! I'm so excited!! We ride out to our house atleast twice a week. I love being able to walk into each room and visualize how i'm going to set it up!!

One Month

This past Monday on September 14 Jonah turned 1 month old. I can't believe how fast time has flown by! I look at our little boy, and can't believe that it's been a month since I first saw that sweet face, and kissed those sweet lips! Jonah is such a wonderful baby boy, and I am so blessed to be his mommy!! He just loves to be cuddled and he is constantly smiling! He only fusses when he is hungry or has a tummy ache. He is such a strong little boy! He constantly is picking his head up, and when he lays on his back he can scoot himself. He loves to have "tummy time" he turns his head from side to side. He has grown so much in the past month, and I know he is just going to continue to grow. I'm so excited to see all the new things he is learning to do, but so sad to see that he is getting older. I just want him to be my little newborn boy forever!! His favorite thing in the whole world is to listen to his music!! It is really the funniest thing in the world to watch his expressions when he hears his music come on! here are some pictures from the 1st month of Jonah's life...

Surprise!

So Chris and I have a secret that we have only told a few people...

WE ARE BUILDING A HOUSE!!

We have been in the process of getting stuff together to build our house for several months now. We did not want to tell everyone or post anything about it until we were sure that everything was going to work out.

We are building in Watson. We are so excited, we knew that we wanted to either buy/build in Central or Watson. Watson won!!

The name of our neighborhood is Seigle Village. There are no houses in the neighborhood yet. It is just a one street neighborhood off of Sims Rd. It is a new development, our builder is Bruce Easterly. We couldn't be more excited!! It will take about 3 to 3 1/2 months to finish our house, so we should be in it by Christmas!!

here are some pics of the progress of our house...

New Blog

This is now our family blog. No longer will I update on the babysite for Jonah. Everything exciting that goes on within our family will be all posted on here. It has been a while since I've updated, because I've been so busy. It has been almost 3 weeks since Jonah's been born and we are finally getting on some kind of schedule.

I absolutely love being a mommy!! Our son is the best little boy in the world. We are all doing wonderful!! Jonah eats every 3 to 3 1/2 hours. I am breastfeeding, and pumping. He seems to do a lot better when I pump and feed him a bottle b/c I can make sure he is getting enough to drink. He drinks 4 oz. everytime he eats. He still sleeps a lot, but in the afternoon he stays up for a while. He loves take a bath in the tub. The two of us take a bath together in the afternoon.

Chris is such an awesome daddy!! He took the first week after Jonah was born off of work to help me. It was so hard for him to head back to work! Everyday when he comes in from work, he takes a shower as soon and fast as he can so that he can hold his little boy. He makes up songs and sings them to Jonah. It is the sweetest thing that I have ever seen!! It is so obvious that Jonah is Chris' whole world.

My parents have been such a blessing to us! My mom feeds Jonah atleast one of his feedings when she gets in from work, so I can get some extra sleep. They have watched Jonah several times, so that we can go do things that we need to do without bringing Jonah out.

Our family and friends have been so wonderful. They have all come to see Jonah several times! It is such a wonderful feeling to have so many people in our lives that love our son so much and want to be a part of his life!!

It is so crazy how much I love this little boy. He is everything to me! Everytime we make a decision about something, it is with him in mind. I thank God everyday for blessing us with such a wonderful little boy, and for entrusting Chris and I to raise Jonah up to serve him!
